Ohhh ohhh the mumster went to the wool store yesterday. Just looking she said. Look what she came home with - more stuff for a new hobby!! She has dreams of making a peggy square blanket - she is not sure of her skill level. She last made one when she was ten (a long long time ago).
So she figures it might be a good ten years before she gets finished, so don't be looking for it on the bed anytime soon. She blames pinterest for giving her grand ideas.

Oh! My goodness Poppy...!x
ReplyDeleteWell tell Mum, if she has any problems....Just stick the balls together..!:). HeHe!
At least you don't need a woolly coat...!x
I love those colors!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty colours! I'm out of knitting mode now, made all those simply blankets for the shelter a couple of years ago and used up my own desire to knit for the next decade. LOL. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteIt might take ages, but it is going to be so pretty. I started my Peggy square blanket at the beginning of winter... Pinterest has a lot to answer for :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are some pretty colors! Mum is kinda drooling......
ReplyDeleteHad to Google 'Peggy squares' and now Mum wants to make one!!!
Well, no matter how long it takes your Mum, we bet it will look very pretty with all those colors. :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty colors. Our mom gets those kind of ideas too. Sometimes she even finishes them, MOL.

Pee Ess: Sami says the wool is fun to play with too!
Good for you! Isn't pinterest wonderful!!! OOh looking forward to seeing your progress - I wonder if Poppy Q will help sort your wool.

Lots of pretty colours. My mum can't knit for toffees! They tried to teach her at infant school and then her gran tried to teach her, but she just didn't like it. She prefers to sew.
ReplyDeleteThat's mum's kind of shopping as she knits a lot. Keep at it and you will be fine. Hugs GJ x
ReplyDeleteHmmm, not sure what a peggy square is, but we bet it would be nice and cozy :) Pretty too.

Don't worry mum has a big stash of yarn to knit or crow-shay. Once she gets in the mood.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, I'm getting into knitting too. I go to w knitting group once a week.
ReplyDeleteAlthough now with summer coming I'll swap knitting for reading but once winter hits its all hands to the knitting needles.
If you go to YouTube there are lots of videos teaching you envy thing you want to know about knitting. Good luck and have fun
Our mom gets crazy ideas like that all the time. She has more unfinished projects stashed all over the house. Hope your mom has better luck finishing what she starts. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteYes Pinterest is such a good distraction. Knitting or crocheting the squares? I am sure it will look lovely and it doesn't matter how long it takes.
ReplyDeleteI made everyone hats and scarves for Christmas 2 years ago, so naturally I had to buy 10 times more yarn than I actually needed!! Addictive!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
I would just love to get my paws and claws into that wool! I like to pull mum's knitting right off the needles. You will too. Meow, Jessica
