Mum had a bit of a slow day, where she sat round for a couple of hours not doing a lot. She's not complaining, as usually she is rushing around, and she was at work last night until 11pm and was tired this morning. She spent her down time planning this evening, and so far it is working out just like she had planned. Dinner was easy, she had a meat pie to cook and she had a big pile of coleslaw to suck up the pastry calories. She has made her lunch for tomorrow, given her face a good scrub, got the uniforms ready and tidied up a little. She is on track to be in bed by 9pm to read for a little while before bed.
It was wonderfully hot and sunny over the weekend with windows and doors wide open, with lost of breezes flowing through. Today when mum went to head off to work it was dark and drizzly and by the time mum was five minutes down the road it poured down and she got soaked on the way to the bus stop. It feels like autumn is setting in. I don't mind, I snooze the day away sunny or rainy.
We hope you have got your week off to a good start and are ready to face the next 7 days.

We're only starting our Monday here, Poppy, and it's sure bet our day will be easier and more enjoyable than our human's. :-P
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to send us some warm temps, because we STILL are waiting for spring weather. Yesterday we ended March with on again-off again wet snow and a brief hail storm. Sheesh.
It sounded like a good day for your mum - at least until walking to work. I hope she had an umbrella.
ReplyDeleteWarm days, keep wishing for more than one at a time.
