Afternoons

Mum and I are trying to enjoy the last bit of the afternoon when mum gets home.  I am always busy watching birds, bugs and butterflies.

    Poppy, dear, it's lovely that you have an open window through which to view -- and perhaps capture -- critters that crawl and fly. My feline friends adore anything that buzzes.

    Wonderful warm weather pastime, Poppy, bird watching. Precious is watching birds
    when she gets out of her bed, but they are cold birdies eating seed we put out.

    I prefer the early afternoon to the later, though any time in the afternoon is a time of laziness and slumber - or should be; like the lotos-eaters in “The Odyssey”…

    I have birds to watch, no butterflies and bugs here right now! Unless I want to watch the snowflakes falling.
