Sliver

There was a sliver of sunshine for a few hours today.  Mum put some washing out, visited the library and got some groceries and then read her book in the sun while she aired out the house.

Our little lockdown was extended for another 48 hours so it meant mums plans to visit with friends was put on hold.  There is also a polar storm heading up our way, so temperatures have dropped rapidly this evening.   So mum is thinking of spending her day off tomorrow at home with me.  Yippee!!

  2. Sorry about your mum not seeing her friends just yet. Always safe than sorry, we say. but good news is
you have a bit of sun and mum home with you. Hope it does not get too cold. We have 33 C today, yucky
    humid too.

  3. Is that an old photo again PoppyQ ? Or has mum painted your door red ? Very nice. Also a new fence. Hope all is well. Let’s hope Wellington is out of lockdown soon. It must be terrible in Australia. It’s so hard to believe that just one person from Aussie could visit so many places here and cause so much chaos for so many people. I wonder if it will ever stop. Not in my lifetime that’s for sure. ❤️ 🐭🐭🐭🐭🐭🐭

  4. Forgot to say. Further south from you we had hailstones that sounded like golf balls pounding on my roof this morning. Snow predicted. I think it might be winter. Hold onto your fur Poppy and stay inside.

  7. I love that picture, Poppy. It looks like it could be a painting, with the contrast of colours, and the little cat thinking about what's beyond the fence.
