Mum got sent this photo. Her family were off at the showgrounds for the annual show. Mum thinks she must have been 2. She loves how everyone is wearing their best outfits. Now it eould be jeans and sweatshirts.
That's a wonderful photo for your mum to have, Poppy. Gee, now it could be pyjama bottoms and a ratty tee-shirt for the younger generations! (At least based on what the biped sees many of the kids around here wearing.)
That is a handsome picture. I would love to see people still wearing good clothes no matter where they went. I don't even see good clothes when I go to church. Who doesn't love a pair of sloppy flannel pajamas when they go into church a store School just name it. But I did enjoy seeing your family photo there, thank you.
How wonderful & special! Its funny because I think myself & your Mum are the same generation Poppy ... as I was dressed almost identical to your Mum in that photo - clean white dress, hair up in a big ribbon, best shoes - just so special.
What a beautiful family and mum is such a pretty little girl. Does she still have blonde hair ? Old family photos make me sad. I have 40 albums. My dad always had a camera around his neck. He had been a Dr. in WW1 and went on horseback to a different place every day. I have some amazing photos. On a rare day off he went to the pyramids. He was also in Gallipoli. He made many friends whom he kept all his life. He also sent photoS back to NZ and they were published in the A.uckland News. Thank you Poppyq for showing mums photo.
