My Friday Friend - Farewell Bonnie Underfoot

It's Friday and this week we have to farewell another of our friends. Bonnie from Bonnie Underfoot and Victor Tabbycat has gone to the bridge. We know that Victor and your fambly must be in shock, and all terribly sad. We're sending you purrs and smooches and know that Bonnie will be waiting with all our other friends.

Well friends, in honour of you helping me make it through my first year of blogging I am going to have a competition.

The Rules:

• Answer this question: Is Poppy Q a girl, or a boy cat? (NB there are clues on my blog)

• If you live with lots of housemates you can leave the answer, then leave all of your names

Fanks for sticking with me for a year!!

My mum helped me write all the names of my friends who entered the first blogoversary competion.

She got out our brand new biscuit barrel.



She cut up all the names for me as I am not allowed to use the scissors. Tomorrow my mum will help me draw a name - the big winner.

My Friday Friends

This week we again have two special friday friends to introduce you too.

Have you guessed yet? They were my super swap friends on April fools day - it is the fabulous Roxy and Lucky from http://thedevildog.blogspot.com/ The celebrity they are related to is the fabulous Millie, they are her woofie cousins.

This is lucky - doing some quality control on the quilt pieces.

Here is Lucky again, snuggling with here hedgehog. She gives her a big sniff before she can go to sleep. How cute, and I am glad it is not a real hedgehoggie or you would get prickles in your nose.

This is Roxy. Roxy is training the whole family to get their black belts!! Good work Roxy.

Yes Yes Yes

Yes - when mum knows she has a late night at work expected, she leaves me some biscuits besides my bed. Otherwise other cats sneak in through the catdoor and eat them. This way I guard them.

Yes she didn't think you guys would notice them, but your eagle eyes searched them out.

Yes my star blanket is very cosy.

Wordless Wednesday

I am glad

I am glad to hear that most of you have beans that let you go most places in the house. You can see I am allowed everywhere, even outside. I am only not allowed in the lounge cupboard - but only cause it has a hole in it, that drops down into behind the chimney. Mum says it is not a good idea to get stuck in the wall (really she screams "No Poppy NO! if I go in there).

Thanks mum for sharing your lemon pepper tuna with me tonight - whats yours is mine!!

What kind of cat mum are you?

When mum was on holiday she got talking to her friends. They all had a cat at some stage. Half said their cats could sit on any bed or chair they liked. Half said they could only sit on special areas of a couch or bed, and would tell them off for sitting on an area that wasn't allowed.

Me, I am allowed to sit anywhere I like. Me and my mum share the house!

What kind of pet mum are you:

My Friday Friends.

Hello another Friday. It must be time for my friday friends.

This week:

More scenic holiday snaps

Mum stayed on the street next to this river.


She went for a walk in this park, note the kiwi autumn colours.


She walked by this river,


and up the hill to sit and look at this view. At the bottom of this hill is a stream that is heated by the underground geothermal currents, so it is like having a hot spa bath, without paying any heating bills.

Where my mum went

This is where my mum was on holiday. It is called Lake Taupo and is in the middle of the north island in New Zealand (yes our two main islands are called the north island and south island!!).

These are some mountains nearby, as it is a very volcanic area, the lake being an old crater. It has lots of trout in the lake, and is a great area for tramping, cycling and having adventures.

Don't let the blue skies fool you, it was icy cold this morning, and snow had fallen overnight on the hills just outside town.

My kitty spa isn't quite as scenic.

Shout out for Stormy

This is a shout out to my lovely London Meezer friend Storm , or as I likes to call her Stormy.
Stormy just had a great 12th gotcha day that she shared with her brother Castle (or bruvva in London speak).
Stormy has just found out that her Lymphoma has come back again. We all prayed it was a pooh, stuck in the pooh shute, but instead it was a silly mass stuck on her bowel. We knows though that Stormy is getting lots of love from her mum, Castle, her super vets and all of her friends on the cat blogosphere. Storm I am going to purr and purr for you buddy.

You just lie in the spring sunbeams and relax sweet girl.

I'm Back

Hello my lovelies. I am back from the kitty spa, and my mum is back from her holiday. I got a good report card from the spa, it said:

• Cute and quiet
• Ideal weight
• Eats food at own pace and gets on with the neighbours

So, I'm going to explore around the house and check out the smells. I'll try and check up on all of you in the next couple of days. It's good to be home!
