Chilly

It was chilly here last night so mum slipped a couple of quilts on the end of the bed.  I showed my appreciation by sleeping on it for 20 hours, only leaving for refreshment breaks.

Nala

Have you met Nala yet?  She is travelling around Europe with her dad Dean on a bike.  They have youtube videos and their instagram is 1Bike1World and now there is even a book - Nalas World.

Mum will add it to her reading list.  She already has a big pile, but she thinks this one looks good.

Have a nice Caturday - do something fun!!

Friday

Mum just pottered round today.  She had thought that she would go out today, but she was a bit worn out.  She will leave the going out until tomorrow. She thinks I spent 22.5 hours asleep today.

Afternoon Sunbeams

Mum and I had an afternoon nap in the sunbeams today.  She was at work until 1.40 am and felt the need to lie down when she got home this afternoon.  I approve of this way of sleeping - I could do it all day!!

Same Old

Lots of days are the same here.  I get to just chill while I send mum out to earn some dollars.

Snooze

I took a snooze on mum's new blanket.  She is trying it on the bed while it is still warm.  We will keep the heavy blankies off as long as we can.

Nacho Night

Mum made herself happy by having nacho night.  Now her tummy is super full.  She was hoping for an early night as she only managed 4 hours last night.  Of course this is the night that the neighbours are entertaining loudly in the garden.  She can't sleep in either as she has to be up at 5.40am to head off to work.

I have been chilling out .  I ate my dinner and had a big sleep.  I hissed at the introoder cat a couple of times when he came too close to my cat door.

Have a nice Caturday - do something fun.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello my lovelies.  Hope you are having a lovely Valentines Day.  I am helping mum with a couple if parcels she got today.  I am warming them up for her.  She got herself some new pants and I approve of the packaging.  A girl kitty can't have enough plastic bags can she?

Rest Day

Mum got to have a rest day today.  A day off before she enters a 7 day work stretch.  She walked round town and window shopped.  She ate some cheap sushi and watched a movie - Emma which she enjoyed.  She walked home and ate some leftovers for dinner.  l

Best of all she played with me in the morning and the evening when she got home and now we are going to snuggle up together.  Night night.

Still

It is a lovely still summers evening. Mum came home and put her shorts and a t-shirt on and sat in the sun and read her book.  She only lasted 10 minutes as she got too hot.

It looks like lots of you are having wild weather.  Our news shows floods in Australia and wild weather in the UK.  We are happy to have had a couple of sunny days in a row, our weather has been mostly cloudy and cool.  I like most pussy cats like a few sunbeams to sleep in and  a warm mum to snuggle up with on cool night's.

Waiting

I am waiting for mum to get my dinner ready.  She has a 5 minute window before I turn up the volume and begin pacing.

Caturday

Mum and I had the laziest of Caturdays today.  We both stayed home and relaxed.  Mum only did one chore and read her book on the bed next to me.  Perfect.

Can You See Me?

This is the gap between our house and next door and is the steps down to our small place and our back garden.

Queen

Mum had another big night out last night.  Queen with Adam Lambert were playing in our city.  The tickets were a bit pricey, but on Monday mum found some cheap tickets that were at the far end if the field, as far away from the stage as you could get and on the field with no cover.

Mum went with her good friends and their teenage kids and it was there first concert experience.  On Tuesday night it was stormy with rain and huge winds, and luckily by Weds afternoon it cleared up.

The show was pretty awesome with a great stage set up.  Mum and her friends only stayed in their seats 5 minutes after it started and rushed forward to a spot where they could see and dance and not be in anyone's way.  Although Adam Lambert is different to Freddie Mercury, he did a pretty good job and it was a old school rock concert.  There were about 4 songs mum didn't know, but the hits were great with everyone singing and dancing.

Mum loved Radio Gaga but it was hard not to be moved by Bohemian Rhapsody.  You can't beat the classics and there is something magical about a whole stadium singing along.  Kiwis are usually a quiet and shy audience, but even the all the men got their groove on.

The are playing Auckland next then off to Australia and mum would highly recommend  it if you live in Australia.

Glad

I sure am glad to be home with mum.  It is much quieter than the Cattery and I can have midnight biscuits.

Weekend Away

Mum and I are back.  I had to go to the Cattery while mum and her beasties went away to see Michael Buble.  Boy It was HOT - it was 35 day C when they arrived.  Mum even went into the water up to her knees to cool off, she was surprised at how chilly the sea was.  The girls had an ice cream that melted super quick, but it makes you feel like summer to eat a waffle cone on the beach.

The concert was great.  They got there a few hours before as it was held out in an outdoor winery and although you could take good and drink you could not take any alcohol in.  The lines were short for food and drinks and not too long for the portaloo not too horrendous and when mum went, it was clean and smelt ok, but was on a bit if a scary lean.  Luckily there was a breeze and a doable 27 deg C.  Lots of cold wine and iceblocks helped keeping the girls chilled.

Michael Buble played with a 36 piece orchestra and he was amazing.  His singing was awesome - he sounds even better live than on CD and mum knew a lot if his tunes.  She loves artists who sound so wonderful live -  she has been lucky and got to see so many great artists Billy Joel, David Bowie, Sting, Rid Stewart, Bob Dylan , Van Morrison and Adele.

Her weekend was full of eating out  and shopping.  The day they left it made it to 37 deg C - the hottest day on record ever.  The best part though is getting home and picking me up from the Cattery.  Our city us a lot cooler, our cut has had weeks of overcast misty days.  It feels like summer has not arrived for us.  Still at least we have lots of green gardens here, while the rest if the country looks parched with drought.
