Friday

Mum liked this old photo of me snuggling on the bed having a snooze.  She had a snooze like a nana on the couch after eating her dinner, and woke up in time to watch Naked Attraction.  Such a start to her weekend off!!  She feels a little productive, she got some washing done, and a few little jobs pottering about as usual.  No fancy nights out on the town this week. 

Friday

Mum was up early to head to work this morning.   The walk to work is not very scenic with lots of boring office  buildings.   She takes a bus home, and comes a different  way past a few old houses with some flowers still blooming.  She wishes  she had a green thumb, but alas she has no gardening  skills.  She gets to admire other people flowers though which makes the end of her day much better.

Friday

While the world is spinning  around, mum went and met up with 6 friends for a gin tasting  at a small local  distillery  in town.  Even though the tastings were tiny, mum does not like dpirits unless they are mixed with lots of fruit juice or soft drink.  Mum dislikes tonic or soda water.  She didn't come home with any bottles though as she has 3 bottles of gin  up in the cupboard  already.

She was glad to get home to me.  The roofers had been back again.  Mum left the curtains closed in the bedroom  which was better for me as there was no strange men looking through  the windows at me.

Mum just pottered round today.  She had thought that she would go out today, but she was a bit worn out.  She will leave the going out until tomorrow. She thinks I spent 22.5 hours asleep today.

It's raining outside so I will head to bed early.  Mum is pleased as she says the garden is very dry and needs some water.

Mum found this tshirt on ETSY from seller Oh Hello Sparkle.  She says it reflects how she feels most days.  She was glad that Friday rolled round.  After all of our nice weather, we have had a reminder that the cold and stormy stuff can still arrive.  Heaters are on full bore, and it is a tad chilly in the house.  Mum had to come home and have a nap, she is lucky enough to now have a head cold as well as a sore back.

So I have told her to load up on the vitamins, the water and head to bed early.  I have already retired early to get my snoozes on.  A girl has to rack up a good 23 hours a day to keep young.  She has only a couple of goals for the weekend, to meet a friend for lunch tomorrow, to finish watching a series of Game of Thrones she has recorded (she is not sure which one, but they're all good),  watch a movie or two and do a few of the weekend chores.  A couple of sleeps ins for her too, and some easy eating will make the weekend pass by.  She might have to pull out a few jumpers and jacket to keep warm though, as she doesn't have a cute grey fur jacket like me.

It was a lovely Friday for mum as she had leave from work.  She got to sleep in which was wonderful and take a leisurely shower.  She then relaxed and watched some shows before getting ready to head out and get her hair cut.  She read magazines and relaxed as she got her hairs cut and coloured.  Then a little wander into town before coming home to relax for a while.  One of the girls was leaving from work, so there was dinner out which was a wood fired Margarita pizza followed by a lemon gelato.

Now two more days of relaxing - good on you mum you deserve it and I will help you.

Yippee it's Friday and mums work is finished.  It wasn't too busy at work but mum was tired.  Some sleeping was needed when she got home.  I curled up beside her.  Normally if she is at home trying to sleep in the day I jump all over her or keep chatting to her but mum says I was such a good girl.

So us girls are chilling out tonight and mum is thinking about trying to sleep.

Mum enjoyed her Friday of not working.   A sleep in, a lunch with a bestie, a wander round some shops, 10,000 steps done, meatballs for her dinner and snuggles with me.  A lovely day.

Here we are ready for the weekend.   So far there appears to have been no intruders here today.  The mumster was glad that her working  week was over.  She celebrated by going to the supermarket on the way home - woop woop!

Dinner was a feast for me, and she made chicken/cranberry/cheese toasties for herself.  All those carbs made mum tired so us girls retreated for a nap.  Then mum thought she would finish her chores.  So clothes are being washed and the dishes are done.  Vacuum cleaning can be done tomorrow morning and now is time to load up another Poldark episode.

Hello Friday - it is always a good start to the weekend when the mumster has a day off. Middle aged lady bladder prevented her sleep in - at least I didn't get the blame for that one.  Mum gave me lots of pets and cuddles, which I tolerated for a bit.  Then she went out for the day.

I got to stare out the window and watch my birdies.  They sure look tasty.

We  sure are glad that Friday has rolled around, although mum is on call and is working over the weekend.  So we have had a quiet night indeed.  She made sure she went for a walk after work and popped into the library to refresh her reading material, the supermarket for  a few treats and then home to talk to me.  After dinner a nap was in order and now as midnight approaches we are headed off for more sleeps.  Hope you all have some nice plans for your weekend.

We hope you all have some nice plans for the weekend.  Mum has had to change her ideas, as she has been visited by the flu fairy.  It has been five months since she visited last, and mum  was hoping she would stay away longer.  So today, she is in her dressing gown, has slept all morning, downed lots of water and used up lots of tissues.  Still, she'll live.

Scuse the old photo, mum was looking through some old ones and knew we hadn't shown this one before.  It was taken in Feb, back when I liked sleeping on mums bed.  At the moment I am still in the spare bedroom and in fact, at 7pm on Friday night I have already put myself to bed.

It is chilly and rainy again here, in fact it has been a whole week of clouds and seven days since we have seen blue skies.  We are hoping for a bit of summer over the weekend, which should be busy busy.

It's Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiday and I'm starting my chillaxing early.   I have to send mum off to work,  so if you need me I'll be out back on the deck.  Have a fabulous weekend everybuddy.

Fun Day Four - Friday

Lets see what we got up to on Fun Day Four - Friday

• Mum found this folder of kitten photos of me that she had lost. Look how little I am!
• In the morning, mum gave me lots of pets and scritches while I was lying on the spare bed.
• Mum got her hair cut and coloured and had a great time laughing with her sylist and colourist.
• Mum got to meet up with a good friend for lunch, and had lots of laughs over bagels.
• Then she went shopping and managed to get a couple of nice tops that were 75% off, and even a wee bit trendy, without blowing too much of the budget.
• On her way home, mum got to stop at a local shop while the owner was locking up, and got to pet and hold the owners dog, who is called Poppy too!!
• Mum cooked her fave dinner - Lemon Chicken Risotto with fresh summer peas and she also made herself a big fruit drink filled with lots of ice.
• After dinner, mum rang some good friends and arranged to go to the park with them tomorrow.
• She also gave me my favoritist Fancy Feast and gave me lots of pats in the garden.
• Tonight, I am going to let mum lie on the couch and watch a DVD, while I sit in the backyard and listen to all the summer noises and smell the garden BBQs.

Every day this week, we are making a conscious choice to do something fun, that makes us happy. The weather has been grim, the news is always bad and we need to finds some things to make us smile. We hope you can join us!!
