Cat Door
I have got used to my little cat door now, and am quite happy to come and go. Mum went off to her nightshift last night at 11:30pm and left me sleeping on her bed. When she got home just after 7am I got up and joined her while she had a snack. It always helps her to have some toast before she pops into bed, so that the rumbly tummy doesn't wake her up at midday.
The cat door is a little higher than my last one, and at our old place my mum had a stool outside to help me climb in. I am managing quite well here, and mum figures it is like a bit of a core exercise for me to have to stretch a little bit. Usually while she is home and the weather is mild the back door is open, so that I can come and go through there.

I am sure you will adjust to the new cat door placement just fine, Poppy. Humans like to go on about us cats loving routine and hating change, but I will say, we do better with all that than most humans do!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely little cat-flap Poppy!x
ReplyDeleteKeep you fit, popping in and out...!
HeHe! I expect you have your own key to! :0).
A little exercise is always good, Poppy! Gracie manages the cat door quite well, although I often marvel at her maneuvering her Special Leg as she comes through.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day, ladies!
What fun, you don't need a human to let you in or out!
ReplyDeleteYou´re a lucky cat!
ReplyDeletePoppy, I know we haven't updated our blog on a regular basis, but wanted you to know we have a new sticky bean granddaughter, and she's CUTE! It's our first grandchild (we now have 4 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces, also) and we're totally smitten. Visit and check out her picture today if you get a chance.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cool door Miss Poppy...Mum says she's never seen one set into the glass like that before. But she just props the back door open for me when the weather is nice, just like your Mum!

ReplyDeleteCore strength is very important, Poppy, and it sounds like you're managing quite well with the new door level. :)
ReplyDeleteI just saw those doors thr other day and thought what a greqt idea especially for people that move a lot. Your very lucky your able to go outside. Bella is strictly an inside cat. Although if I'm outside she comes out and plays with the dogs. They all love it xx
ReplyDeleteI say it's just the right size to sneak a dead bird through - MOL!
