Ohh ohh

Mum was sitting here thinking what to write about when she checked the news.  Look at what happened at our old house this morning!!!  The rubbish truck backed up right into the bedroom of our old house, crashing into the fence, the room we used to sleep in and caused a gas leak.  Luckily the wee family were ok and nobody was hurt as they have two small daughters who usually sleep in that bedroom, and if we were still living there, that where that crashed frame is would be right where me and mum would have been asleep at 7am when the truck comes.

So mum might buy  a lucky lotto ticket on the way to work today!!

  1. Oh, that is very scary, Poppy! How fortunate for you and Mum that you no longer live there. And thank goodness the family was okay.

  5. It must have seemed surreal when your mom turned on the news & saw your old home with the bedroom window all smusched in & by a garbage truck no less! Sometimes my human wonders how many near misses we each experience during our lifetime. We almost never find out about any of them. Now you & mom have a near-miss story to tell & you, Poppy girl, still have all of your 9 lives intact.

  8. Oh my gosh! That's good though that no one was hurt. Those guys in the truck must have hit that house pretty hard.

  11. Oh, Poppy! Wow. We're glad the current family members were uninjured...and relieved that you and your mum DON'T live there anymore! Sometimes the Universe does have a way of working things out, even if it doesn't seem favourable at the time (re: your new place).

  13. Wow. I guess moving out of that house was a blessing in disguise. Thank God no one in the family who was living there was hurt. Did the news report what caused the crash? Drunken driving? Sheer carelessness?
