2 More

So mum found these little flowers on the way home from work today - a pretty  sight on a gloomy  winters day.

After  24 days of being Covid free, we now have 2 cases in the country  from 2 women who have come in for a family funeral.  I don't know  if we csn keep it out unless we keep our borders closed.  Just as  things  were returning  to normal.   I think we are going to be stuck  with it for some time.

It is only  8.35 pm  and mum is just going to make her lunch  for tomorrow,  wash her face and put her uniform  out for tomorrow  morning  and then she us coming to bed.  Exciting  times.

  1. This is the problem, isn't it. :-(

Yes, I think we'll be stuck with COVID for quite some time yet, till there's a viable vaccine and most of us get it. It's impossible to keep borders and economies closed indefinitely, so I think it's all in how it will be managed to keep cases as low as possible.

What a time in history to live through. Of course, better than dying in this time of history! Take care!

  2. The two woman are from England, or so
they said on the early news, they should'nt
have been allowed in..funeral or no funeral..! :(.

As you say Poppy!x Exciting times..! :o).

Though there seems to be another vaccine, they
want to try, the last one was a failure, if it's
successful, it should be ready by September..!
And, some so called experts say, that this will
go on for another three years..! :(.

  3. Beautiful flower, Poppy, thank mum for sharing the photo.
As long as she and you can stay healthy and doing safety
measures, that is what will have to count in your home.
This virus is not going to simply evaporate. I read it can
be as much as 5 years before a viable vaccine and enough factories
built to make enough for the world. Glad mum is spending time with you.

  4. I’d read somewhere that the world may have covid-19 for a long time. But since it mutates, it may become harmless after a while. And it’s good that your authorities discovered these two cases. Are people being tested as they come in? That might be an option.

  5. Countries like the U.S., England, and others don't have this virus under control. They should not be allowed outside their countries until that happens. Living in the U.S., I hate to say that, but what else can you do?

  7. We're sorry the Coronavirus has reared it's head again in your country, Poppy and Mum Julie. I think you are right, this is going to be around for a long, long time. :(

That iris is beautiful. It reminds me of growing up. We had that very variety in our yard when I was little.

    Hugs to you both.
