Mum is still eating her way through her stores, the cans of soup and bags of rice she bought as lockdown approached. Luckily she got me 5 big bags of temptations. She was worried about how upset I would get if I could not have my nightly treats. So there will be enough temptations for weeks to come.
NZ has now had 24 days with no covid cases in the country. It becomes scary to think that the only way we can continue to stay that way is to keep the borders closed, but we know it can't stay like that forever.

To~day is the first day over here, where non
ReplyDeleteessential shops are opening..but..still with
a 2 metre distance..And Longleat Safari park
is opening, not far from me!
Be quite a surprise for all the animals to see
people again, chasing the cars, and the apes and
monkeys tearing the cars windscreen wipers off..
I expect they missed the visitors more than the
visitors missing them..! ;).
Oh! We have those Temptations over here to Poppy!x
But there called Dreamies..

The priority is your treats, Poppy!
ReplyDeleteNZ has done exceptionally well through this pandemic; everyone is to be commended. I read last week that even though the Canada/US border is closed to all except essential travel, Americans are still crossing, "on their way" to Alaska and stopping in touristy spots out west like Banff. Yeah, not good, not yet. But here it's impossible to keep everyone out, and we certainly do need tourist income...just not at this time.
Here in the USA, the number of cases are definitely going up. I just don't know
ReplyDeletehow people are going to continue safety precautions. I use a mask and gloves and
scrub when I get home from the grocery, which is the only place I go as seldom as I
can. I have used the library's curbside pick up for new books, and they did open
their doors starting today, but while they offer curbside, that's what I'll do.
Glad you got the Temptations, Poppy. Food stuff for animals and people is still
slim pickens right now.
poppy; we iz glad yur countree iz still vy ruzz free.....ther seemz ta bee noe end two it heer N peepulz act like they due knot care ???~~~
ReplyDeleteWe stocked up on animal feed and treats too. - priorities aye.
ReplyDeleteMy human made sure I had lots of treats because with no places to go, she has lots of extra time to practice my tricks with me!
ReplyDeleteYou can be safer than the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you have your treats,Poppy!
ReplyDeleteThe shops opened here yesterday and the queues to go in were ridiculous! People were waiting 2 hours before they opened and I didn't see much social distancing either.
What is wrong with people that they just can't wait to get in a shop? Do they think that the coronavirus can't affect them?
