Welcome July, we're ready for you. Thanks for the polar blast to start with. It's cool with temperatures dropping to about 3degC overnight which is chilly for us. There has been some sunshine in the afternoon which was welcome.
Mum got an email this afternoon to say that our vets are closing down at the end of the month which is sad. I have gone to see them my whole life and as they are just a 5 minute ride away the taxi ride to get there and back was not too expensive. The sad bit for mum is that the vet had a cattery attached to it. Finding cattery places in our city is difficult. Luckily covid has restricted travel, so mum has no holidays planned, so she is trying not to get anxious about something that may not happen.
Oh, that's very unfortunate about your vet clinic and cattery, Poppy. We will cross our paws and fingers that your mum's able to find another suitable one, close. The biped understands about taxi rides with kitties in carriers!
ReplyDeleteAs for it being July ALREADY, we want to know if our perception of time could just slow down a bit through OUR warmer months....You two stay warm and cosy. 3C without central heating is COLD.
Well, that stinks about the veterinary clinic. Perhaps your mum can talk to some of the doctors or technicians who work there and see where they might be going or where another good cat-hotel might be found. Recommendations wouldn't hurt.
ReplyDeleteBad news about the vet closing. Such decision to make for a new doctor. And of course, a cattery is
ReplyDeleteprobably even more difficult. Luckily for you Poppy, not going anywhere for a bit is a good thing.
Bummer about the vet - I hope there is another good one not too far away. Paws crossed that your human finds a good cattery before she needs one!
ReplyDeleteOh noes, a new stabby place to find? Mum switched me after our VET man retired and she didn't like the people who took the place over. Both me and mum like the new place.
