Snuggle

Goodness we had another rough cold day again today.  Mum had to pull out her puffer jacket stain, and managed to head outside just as the worst weather arrived.  She brushed up all the leaves down the side of the house, that had been blown down in the past few windy nights.  She took the books back to the library and picked up some more to read.

Then off to the supermarket,  gosh things are getting more and more expensive everywhere.   For example we used to be able to get cans of fancy feast at 10 for $9, or 90 cents each.  Now the cheapest they are is for $1.20 each.  So it was mince on toast for mum for dinner, easy and tasty.

Mum came home and plonked herself on the couch with some grapes and watched Titanic.   It's been a few years since she watched it and it still made her a bit teary at the end.  I had a big old nap.

  1. Wow, you are having a chilly Spring Poppy! We have turned cold now too.
That is quite a jump in the price of your cat food. Nothing so far like that here but people food sure has jumped in price. I had a hard time finding kitty litter yesterday!
    Enjoy your day!❤️

  2. You look snuggly there, Poppy. We, too, are chilly now, but then our winter is approaching quickly.

The cost of goods is absurd now, and we have heard that prices on groceries, paper goods like tp/pt, etc., are going to continue to increase. We can't understand the justification for the massive increases and have no idea how the corporate execs and shareholders can get up and look at themselves in the mirror every day.

Anyway, we hope you both stay warm and cosy!

  3. I think our cold snap headed too far south, it seems. Prices are ridiculous. A 99 cent loaf of bread is now
    over 2.50.

  5. Look at you all tucked up there Poppy. It has been so horribly windy here too. My garden is flattened & it was looking so pretty before this. When I buy the Feasts for Pippi & Blackie I have noticed the big price rise too. My supermarket will only let me buy 12 tins at a time - I told the girl this only lasts me 6 days & she looked at me like I was a weirdo. 😒

  6. Our Fancy Feast isn't as expensive as it is there, but the cheapest seems to be 70 cents (I don't know what the exchange rate is; the prices may be closer than they look). Seventy cents is what 'discount' stores are offering... It is not encouraging that prices are rising all over the world.
