Painter Smells

So the painters have arrived with their piles of paint to do the outside of our house.  Mum had forgotten how strong the fumes are, how intense it reeks into the house itself and she hopes that we will manage to sleep tonight.  Especially as she has to work an evening shift and the house will be closed up til she gets home.

Nice of some of the painter team to arrive at 6.30am to pick up some gear and wake mum up quickly as she heard voices outside.  So now she is tired and wishes she could nap, but won't as she needs to get ready for work.  So tomorrow she expects she will be tired and cranky.

What a start to our week!!

  3. Those painters are very inconsiderate. I hope all the work is soon finished.

  4. Poppy, dear, the painters are probably eager to complete their work so that they will be paid in full. (One suspects your landlord is a prudent soul who contracted the job by stages rather than by the hour.) The sooner it's done, the sooner they're gone! Be brave and keep purring for the sake of your mum's nerves.

I hope your shift was quiet and you were able to get a good sleep afterwards.

  6. Also, apparently you can neutralise the smell by lighting candles, brewing really strong coffee, or putting a strong mix of vanilla (or peppermint) and water in a small pot and boiling that up...

  8. You would think the painters would check with your mum to make a schedule around hers as well. Totally inconsiderate!

Hopefully the paint fumes will dissipate before mum gets home. Have a great day Poppy!
