Just helping my mum tonight by holding down the duvet as she changes the covers. It is January which is summer here, but mum still has a flannel sheet on the bed, as she is cold at night ,only 8 deg C here tonight. Hardly a mid summer heatwave.
The clouds did clear this afternoon, so mum got a chance to hang some washing out in the breeze. She will be glad to have all the towels washed and dried in one day after days of rain.
As it has been cold at night I like to go into the lounge and stare at mum until she is ready for bed. That's what I'm doing now - so night night friends.

How nice of you to help your mum out. We hope the days and nights get warmer so you can enjoy summer.
ReplyDeleteThat is cold for summer. Snuggle up and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you are not having a summer heat wave Poppy, but it sure sounds good compared to the below freezing temps. we are havin'. Sunday the weather gurus got it wrong saying it was going to be a being sunny out & highs around 9 degrees F. When mom pulled the bedroom curtains open, we were both gobsmacked to see everything covered in several inches of SNOW! Last night we had a thick layer of freezing rain and all the Humans were officially told to STAY HOME! Lots of Humans decided not to pay attention to that warning and ended up sliding their cars into ditches or had to go to the ER with assorted broken limbs or head trauma. Being that kit-tehs are seriously smart, I heeded the warning & stayed home snoozing on my quilt. Glad you mom's laundry all got dry hanging out on the line. You look like you were really helped your mom out by holding down that comforter. We don't think it is too warm for your mom to still have flannel sheets on the bed. We just put our flannels on for the first time Sunday - Lovely warm cuddles for everyone.
