Mum was having her lunch the other day, and I was interested in what she was having, and came up and had a sniff. But no taste, vegetables - yucky!!!
Mums old cat Puss, well she loved fresh corn on the cob. When mum used to cook some she would have one and Puss would have one too, mum had to turn the cob round so that she could chew on the kernals. Must have been good for her bowels. One of mums friends cats likes sweets and will run over wanting one if anyone has a bag of sweeties.

ooooO! Sweetcorn Poppy!x
ReplyDeleteI love sweet corn...Sometimes l drizzle a little
honey over it..Makes it even sweeter...Very good
for you of course..!:).
Hmm, we don't think we'd want corn either, Poppy. We often sniff the human's food, but don't really recognize what she's eating as something we could or should eat too. (Our biped would love it if we liked a bit of real chicken, pork, etc., i.e. human grade meat. Sadly for her, nope.)
ReplyDeleteWe would love to suck the butter off that cob!
ReplyDeleteMy Tucker likes fresh (or from frozen) peas. But he doesn't care for them when they come in some cat-food we've tried. Is corn digestible by cats?
ReplyDeleteMy cat Sammy loves to eat corn right off the cob.
ReplyDeleteSparkle used to love corn on the cob too... although it could have been the butter she wanted!
ReplyDeleteNo accounting for kitty taste! Many years ago I had a Siamese that liked cantaloupe.

ReplyDeleteWe always think we want what mum's eating. But when we taste it, yuck!
ReplyDeleteWe think we'd like the butter on the corn, but maybe your mum doesn't put butter on it. We all like teeny tiny bits of cheese and Sami has been known to eat a bit of raw onion. Eww!
