Silly Mum

Mum was a bit tired after work, and with an armful of groceries got into the wrong bus heading in the wrong direction to home.  She got off at the next stop and was quickly able to find the correct way home.

it is chilly here tonight and feels like winter.  I am tucked up in my bed and mum is tucked up in hers .  the heating is on although our old house is cold - no central heating here.  Brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

  1. Seems like mum should have had the day at home. Certainly not like her usual capable self.
Hope she does better tomorrow. Flowers to you both 🌹🌹🌹🌼🌼🌼🌻🌻🌻 and a special mouse for you poppy 🐭

  3. At least she realised and got off at the next stop.
We did that last year. We were staying in a bed and breakfast in a small village midway between Bath, Wells and Bristol and wanted to go to see Wells cathedral. We decided to use our senior bus passes because it is a nightmare to try and park there. We caught the bus and I kept saying the names of the villages weren't right from when I had looked at the map, and then we ended up in Bristol. We had caught the bus on the wrong side of the road! We decided we might as well spend the day there and caught the right bus the next day to visit Wells.

  5. That feeling when you see the bus turn in the wrong direction...

Your mum should try a heated mattress pad if she is cold at night. I find mine much better than an electric blanket and the different settings are very helpful. It fits between the normal mattress pad and the fitted sheet.

  6. Yikes! No central heating?? We just had to take out a loan for a NEW furnace AND air conditioner, even thought the last one is only 10 years old.... frustrating AND expensive!!!

  8. Our #1 says she did that once with a train. It happens. She also recommends those nifty oil-filled plug-in radiators to take the chill out. She says they work really well.
