Caturday

Mum and a bestie tracked around today looking at shops.  They had lunch and mum was very disappointed.  She had a brioche French toast that was coated in a caramel sauce  dressing that mum did not like and it was very over priced.  Mum has to come home as her feet were getting tired and she was ready for a rest.  She'd no sooner got in the house when it started raining, so shecwas glad to put her feet up.  She was glad to have a simple supper of potato salad and chicken.  So a quiet night for us girls.

  1. I love brioche french toast, but I find caramel sauce too sweet.

  2. Poppy your mum's dinner sounds much tastier than her lunch was. Good thing she got in before she got soaking wet. In a quiet night with you is definitely a bonus.

  3. It is terrible to pay for restaurant food if you don't like it, especially when everything has gone up in price. I'm glad sje did not get wet and hope you both had a nice evening.

  4. How disappointing for mum. I often found what you make at home is what you really like best and much cheaper. I remember my first hamburger about 65 years ago. Long before Big Macs arrived. My girlfriend from work and I would go for long Sunday afternoon walks talking about the boys we had danced with the night before. We passed a little dairy and the most delicious smells were coming out. We went in and I asked if I could have one. The kind gentleman said he was making his own late lunch but I could have it. It. Was the best thing that I have. Ever tasted.. tell mum Thankyou for bringing back good memories though. I am very sorry she had not such a good experience.Do you like raw whitebait poppy?

  7. A disappointing meal is VERY disappointing, as one can't have another to make up for it...
