Chilling

How are you doing friends?  The temperature has dropped  today, mum has the heaters on as she was cold.  Lots of changes here.  The streets were emptier on mums way to work and on the way home.  I think the schools are having some years stay home, and we won't  be surprised  if they close entirely soon like many other countries.

So far not much of mums routines have changed,  as during the week she usually  only goes too and from work, with stops at the supermarket  and library.  She saw most of her friends  at the weekend  which was nice.

Chilling

Just chilling today.  Mum had to get up early and get some pants on to go and take the rubbish bags out.  Then she came back to bed.  How lazy is that?

The day was overcast and cool so mum did get herself up at 10am for lunch.  Then she went for a walk, and went to see Little Women which she said it was a 5/5.

Me - I stayed home and chilled out.  Like every other day.

Chilling

So daylight savings ends overnight and the weather has come to remind us that winter is coming.  it has cooled to 8 degrees C outside and raining.  Because mum still has this silly cold, she has stayed in her dressing gown all day. 

I don't mind.  I've moved from my round bed to my bag bed all day and mum has left the heater on all day in the bedroom.  I'm all ready for winter sleeping. 

Mum made a roast chicken for her dinner tonight , so that she can have leftovers for tomorrow night.  She has to work, so thankfully she is feeling a bit better.  She feels bad as she is running out of my biscuits.  She ordered some online - we hope they come soon!!

Mum and I have some time to chill out.  Even though the clouds have closed in, the forecast is that the rain will hold off tomorrow.  So mum plans to get up early tomorrow morning to get the washing done and on the line so she can get out and enjoy her day.

Hopefully I will get some snuggles and time to sit and look out the window.

Mum is glad that her night shifts are over, although her last night was the easiest.  Someone actually apologised for it being so quiet, but mum doesn't mind being bored.  She read a chapter of her book and watched 2 episodes of The Handmaids Tale.  A luxury that seldom happens at work.

Today she thought she would get some things done but she needed a nap.  She did get some washing out on the line before the rain arrived.  Dishes were done and food cooked and our flowers are soaking up some summer rain.

Mum lit candles and turned the Christmas lights on.  A face mask for her and a massage and a brush for me.  I'm happy, I get my bed buddy back tonight.

Chilling

We've been chilling today.  Mum got my favorite quilt washed which was good as last time it almost flooded the washing machine and bathroom.  No such dramas today, and there was some sunshine and breeze so it got dry as well which was good.  Mum read her book and relaxed.  She is trying to fight off some germs, she is over having a never ending cold and cough.   The vitamins and lots or rest and relaxing seem to be making her feel a bit better tonight. 

Staycation is going well, and mum wishes she could afford to be retired and not work at all.  It seems though that she can't afford that, so work is beckoning on Monday.

Mum was very late coming home tonight as she had a long appointment at the hairdresser.  When she got home I was waiting outside crying out for her.  I was happy to get dinner and have a snuggle.

She had leftovers for dinner - some lamb, roast sweet potatoes and broccoli.  I had a feast so us girls are all ready to head to bed.  It is an exciting life we lead.

We are just chilling here tonight thinking that the weekend will start tomorrow.  Mum was lucky and got to have Wednesday off with me, as she was on call overnight and was busy.  Si we got to sleep in and relax together.

Our nights are beginning to cool down.  Last night was the first night that the heater was on in the living room and in the bedroom.  Mum is trying hard to get her bedtimes more regular.  It has been easy in the summer to stay up late, but as winter draws in mum might as as well head off to bed early.

We know that most of you will think we are wimps complaining about our cold - it is 9 degrees C, but we do live in an old house that is draughty and cold.  We would be scared at the thought of snow and freezing temperatures.

I sent mum off to the local school fair.  Her friends and her meet up and wander round together.  They have been going for over 20+ years.  Today the did not buy much however as  there wasn't much that appealed to them.  Mum got some new undies and some olive oil.

I like her leather bag but I am not usually allowed to touch it as I normally scrat h it.  This time I was really gentle and just laid down gentle.  It was a pity she had to take the bag with her.

Mum and I are just chilling tonight   she got called in last night so didn't get much sleep.   Then she rushed home in the rain tonight to give me my feast and get some washing done.  She then had to rush to her hairdresser appointment where she got to relax and read 4 magazines.   So she grabbed a burger on the way home, and now she has time to chill out before thinking about bed.

Me - well I am in the bedroom inspecting the layers of quilts on mums bed.

After all the birthday celebrations I have just spent the past few days just chilling out.  Sleeping positions are changing, I have occasionally left my laundry basket and climbed onto mums bed and on the rug.  I am lucky to have so many cozy spots to sleep in.

Mum had herself a steady day at work today and has got herself some nice lamb and vegetables for her dinner.  I had myself a feast so I am full and ready for my evening snoozing. After a couple of days of sunshine with the doors open, the clouds are gathering again, and rain looks likely.  Spring weather is truly upon us.

I am still chilling in the box - mum says my MO though is to change sleeping spot as soon as she posts about it.  As the builders were still here (we believe that we are now up to day 8), I spend the days out under the deck and the evenings packing in all of my outsides inspections, checking for new smells.

The work week isn't over for mum.  She now has three nights of being on call, so tonight was about chilling and getting the washing done and on the line.  Middle age is such fun says mum.

Us girls have been chilling.  Mum has piled up the washing basket and doing a few chores, reading the book and taking it easy.  She did head into town for a little wander this afternoon.  The council has made the buses 1/2 price for the pre christmas season.  Boy town was busy with last minute shoppers, mum saw a couple of people she knows and was glad to head home.  So my feast was fed, she cooked some chicken nibbles and salad for herself.  Family conversations were had, and now mum is tidying up and getting her uniform ready for tomorrow.

I have been chilling out here at the Q palace.  I sent the mumster off to work and she didn't come back for 11 hours.  So I had my dinner at 9pm and she got hers a bit later.  She enjoyed a pork chop, some hash browns and some carrots and broccoli.  I enjoyed my new dine foods, the chicken was super tasty.

So the temperatures are dropping again, so us girls are off to snuggle up.

I am just chilling at home, although mum dragged the sucky motor around the place today as we have some visitors for a couple of days.  Miss Belle and her boyfriend have come for a visit.  Mum is pleased that they are here, and they had a nice afternoon in town and a dinner out.  Mum then let the teenagers go to a movie by themselves, as she thinks she is getting a cold so was glad to come home and put her feet up.

So I have had my feast and am hiding in mums bed, as it is a bit cold, and mum hopes I don't get too scared by the visitors.
