Mum says I am looking betterer tonight. I called out to her tonight when she arrived. Truly though my only thought was to get out of my cage and escape. Mum knows I have the cabin fever and really really want to go home. She usually visits for about an hour, letting me have a stretch and run around on the floor by my cage and sniffing all the good smells at the vets. She tells me about my day, and tries to talk to me. Hopefully three more sleeps and I can go home to our house.
On Saturday, after visiting me, mum went and got some flowers to brighten the house. When she came round the corner, she ran into a chap she knew from her work. He retired a year ago, and him and his wife were cleaning out the house and were getting rid of stuff at the charity shop. They were dropping off this standing lamp, and mum asked if she could buy it off them. They gave it to mum - so mum gave them the bunch of flowers she had bought.
Before christmas mum had seen a lovely painted lamp like this at a market with a funky lampshade, which mum thinks is what she will do with this lamp. Good on you mum.

Keep getting better, Poppy, and you will be home before you know it. Can't wait to see the shade your mom will put on that pole.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine you want to go home very much, Poppy, but as I learned with one of my cats, there's such a thing as too soon. Make sure everything is cleared up and cured, then there won't be any repeat visits soon.
ReplyDeleteBet your mum was thrilled that you called for her! She misses you lots and if you're calling, you must be feeling better. You are in our prayers, love. Caturday can't come soon enough!
ReplyDeleteLove your mum's new lamp. What a good trade. Our mum never has that kind of luck.
Lots of love to you both.

Poppy, sounds like you will be home soon. It is not easy to stay at the vet's place...home is always better, of course. But, since you won't take your meds at home...see what happens?
