Last night mum went off for dinner with a bestie. They went old ladies hours and were there at 6pm - don't laugh!! It was a two for one night, and is usually very busy!! So even though they ate slowly, they were all done by 7.30pm. They went for a walk around the waterfront, but it was a bit breezy and chilly, and they heard that the fireworks display scheduled for midnight had been called off.
Mum went to the local supermarket - a good time to get your shopping done, it was very quiet at 8.30pm on New Years Eve. Mum then came home and watched a bit of tele, and then went to bed at 11.30pm. She read to just after midnight and then was asleep not long after.

It sounds like you and your human had a nice, peaceful New Year's. The humans here went out for a little while, then they came home and my human played with me and, ick, had to kiss me! Happy 2013!
