Mum got home tonight, and my eye looks sore again. The good thing is that I wasn't acting sick. So she has made me a booking for the vet on Wednesday. She is hoping that it looks better in the morning, but somehow she senses I will be going back to see the doctor.
Oh no, Poppy - what a bummer! I am sending lots of purrs your way. I am sure the last thing you want is another extended stay at the clinic!
ReplyDeleteNo No Nooooo !

Ohhh poor Poppy. How annoying. Vorey Puss here has had a similar thing. He went to the fur doctor last week and has antibacterial gel drops. They seem to have worked but mummy and daddy bear the scars of trying to get them in his eyes! We feel for your poor mum as it is not easy to treat a kitty on your own. We hope you get this sorted soon.

Oh, poor Miss Pops! I was afraid of this. Eye issues are often chronic. At 3 years old and after 3 successful surgeries we finally got her eye "comfortable" and healed but my sweet Sha Na required ointments and treatments for the rest of her life. Her tear ducts were damaged and she needed daily treatments to prevent her bad eye from drying out or getting infected again.
ReplyDeleteDo you have such a thing as a Veterinary Opthamologist in NZ? Having had Pekingese for so many years, and given all of the eye injuries they are so prone to get, I had to have a Veterinary Opthamologist. Oh, I googled it and found one in Auckland. There must be more, too.
Sending prayers and purrs!
