Last night when mum gotted home she could tell I was miserable and now my right eye is all sore, and the left one is sore again too. I was very quiet all night. Mum put the ointment in my eyes, but that made me go and hide outside cos I was annoyed.
This morning I am a bit more myself but still very sore, so mum has let me rest on her bed and I am having a nice sleep. If she puts ointment in my eyes she knows I will run away and hide from her, and she has to get me to the vets this afternoon.
We will let you know how the visit goes.
Thanks for all of your purrs.
5.50pm - the vet was lovely and she felt very sorry for me too. She agreed with mum, and thought that it would be best if I got admitted to the hospital to get some good antibiotics and good medicine for my eyes. They think I could be in here for a whole week!!! Anyways mum knows that I will be getting well cared for, as all the girls know me. The vet has promised me a good brush too and mum will come and visit me.
Thank you for the purrs.

Poppy Q, I am purring for you.
ReplyDeleteWhen kitties are as hard to medicate as you are, sometimes there is no other choice but to board them at the vet's office so they can be treated as many times a day as needed.
Feel better, Poppy!
ReplyDeletePoppy, you have us all worried. Get better sweetie.
ReplyDeleteTo make it easier to give Poppy medicine... Can you try pinning three clothes pegs to the back of her neck?... Our vet did that to Percy... He trembled doe a second, then relaxed completely - it was magical!
ReplyDeleteThat should read... For a second... I hate autocorrect... Because it NEVER is correct! XXXOOO
ReplyDeleteOur departed cat Guardian Diamond never liked ointment in his eyes either. WE hope your eyes get better really soon. Maybe you have an allergy something.

ReplyDeleteBeing in the hospital must be tough for you, Poppy, and your mum, but it will be for the best. You won't be able to run and hide when the ointment comes out, for one thing. But you'll be watched around the clock. This will get you better, Poppy.
