Cabin Fever

Mum is going a bit stir crazy being at home.  Although she has had lots of rest, sleep has been a bit erratic  from the sniffing and coughing that has hounded her.  She is on the mend - thank you for all of the good wishes.  She has had lots of fluids and oranges, and tonight felt ok enough to make some steak, peas and mashed potatoes for her dinner.  Seeing as I have been a good nurse, I was allowed a bit of milk which I enjoyed.

We have watched lots of big clouds pass on by the past couple of days,  they had bought snow to places both South and North of us, but left our hills alone.  It feels like the depths of winter now, and mum has enjoyed visiting our friends blogs and seeing how many of them are enjoying lots of sunshine.

Hope you are all having a good week.

  4. Happy news for us from today - when I checked the "stuff" site this morning it said Wellington was, at 8c, too warm for snow. Fingers and paws crossed that it lasts like this all the Wellywood Winter,

Mickle and Megs, xxxxxx and zzzzzzzzzzzz (yep, Megs has already gone to bed)

  5. Poppy, dear, you've been a very good nurse if your mum is feeling better. Enjoy your milk treat and don't worry -- cabin fever doesn't require nursing.

We'll trade you your winters for ours -- but we don't want the earthquakes!

  12. Getting ones appetite back is a welcome sign. Good job nursing, Poppy girl. We've got cabin fever too.
It got to 47C/117F for an hour or so this afternoon. Nothing moved, not even a fly. Mum is afraid to see the electric bill for this month.

  13. We is happy to hear your mum is starting to feel better. It has to be your nursing.

Hope the snow stays away and mum is able to get out and get some fresh air soon.
