Mum has been on a countdown to Crazy week. She got to have today off, which meant a lazy morning with me. She then popped into town to do a couple of chores. She was glad to be able to run into two ladies that she used to work with who both looked happy and were busy doing their last pre Christmas chores.
So now begins mums last real crazy week before Christmas. She worked Mon- Weds and was on call on Monday night and got called into work at 11pm for a couple of hours. Thursday today was a day off which was nice, but she then starts Fri-Thursday of 7 days of evening shifts. Finally next week mum will get a 3 day weekend which will be fabulous. So mums posts for me might be at strange hours and hopefully we won't miss too many.
We hope you have some fabulous plans for the next week or so and not rushing round too much.

which l'll sent out on Sunday...So, look out for
it...! :).
Oh! Love the pansy...My most favourite flower,
closely followed by the orchid...! Lovely!
Good luck to your mum, making it through her crazy-schedule week! That 3-day weekend will be fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGood grief! What an awful shift run. What are they trying to do, wring the Christmas Spirit out of your Mum? Seems quite unfair. Let everyone work a little so everyone gets time off to enjoy the season, Lonely for you, Poppy dear.
ReplyDeletePoppy, dear, I, too, have noticed that middle-aged ladies without families in house are often called upon to do "a little extra" during the holidays...Bah, humbug!
ReplyDeleteYour mum will deserve that weekend when it comes, Poppy. She'll probably spend it resting, which will be just fine!
