Downpour

Daylight savings finished yesterday which is always a start for our wintery season.  We are due a huge deluge of water, as Australias big storm comes across the Tasman sea to dump lots of water on us.

So I have been testing out mums knee to see if it is warm to snuggle on.  It is , but only for 5 minutes at a time.  Mum was a good girl and went and did a couple of jobs across town after work, while the weather was OK.   That  way for the next couple of days she has only to leave to go to and from work.

Raincoat, boots and umbrella are out and ready for mum.  Me - well I plan on staying warm and cozy inside.

  3. Poppy, dear, it's fortunate that you and mum have the new home sorted out and those "jobs" done before Debbie arrives. When we have the first storms of fall, I stock up on extra cans of cat chow and chicken soup!

  4. We hope you won't be flooded, that you're high enough up (which it seems like from some of your previous posts about your mum's walk home uphill).

We're bracing for heavy spring rain this week, so our biped will be sporting her rubber boots!

  5. We had lots of rain her on Sunday! Part of the back yard is still standing in water. WE hope you do not have too much rain!

  6. That's smart of you to stay indoors when the weather is inclement, Poppy, and smart of your mum to get everything before the rains. We had rain yesterday, but nothing like what you're expecting.

  7. Extra food, water to drink, just in case, and Fancy Feast will fill the bill for good storm prep. Is your cat door in good working order? We'd hate for you to get locked out in the rain!

  8. Smart kitty Poppy! We are sending our purrs that the storm doesn't bring rains as heavy as they have received in Australia.

  9. Sorry to hear about the weather. Glad to hear mum's knee will be a safe place to weather the storms. We too are in for some heavy rains this week if the weather warnings are to be believed. Stay cozy and dry you two.
