Mum rushed home after work, gave me dinner and went out to have dinner and drinks. It was school friends that mum has known for forty years and it was lovely to catch up. The girls drunk rose and cocktails, and ate rice and dumplings, fish cakes and satays. Mum was glad of the walk home up the hill to move things around a bit. She will sleep well tonight!!
Me well I got home and had a nibble on my leftover stinky food and am ready to go back to sleep.

you awake..! :).
ReplyDeletePoppy, I do hope your feast was tasty. It's probably better that you do not drink a cocktail unless it is tuna juice.
What a fun time for your mum; it was clear she was excited by the prospect of seeing old chums. And it sounds like the evening didn’t disappoint.
