Gosh it's December already. It was windy and cold last night and I only woke mum up four times to check she was still at home with me. She stayed in bed and read her book for a while and talked to me. By lunchtime the skies were clearing and mum washed her clothes and got them on the line before her trek to the supermarket to stock up. Then home to read again and a wee nap. Such a lazy day off for both of us.
So December we hope you warm up and give us some sunshine, it has been a super cold and wet November and mum is sick of having to drag a jacket everywhere.
Beautiful rose. Hope you do get warmer weather soon. December 1st over here and precious got her first snowfall. About six inches. I'd like to send it back to where it came from.
ReplyDeleteI've had a busy morning to Poppy!x
ReplyDeleteAfter breakfast, l 'hit' into the
Range cooker, took off ALL the
burners, soaked them a while, then
went over them and the attachments
with a brillo pad..all nice and
shinny now! :).
Then l went on and built up the crib,
as l do every year on the first..takes
a couple of hours, it has to be right,
l remember mia Mama building the same
crib as a child..and baby Jesus is put
in on Christmas Eve..after midnight mass!

Happy December! It seems crazy that the year has gone by so quickly, given all the craziness and challenges, but here we are.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your temps warm up soon and that you get sunshine. Our November was up and down, with cold, and then record (or almost record) setting warm. Wild.
Take care!
Glad you and your mum are home again.
ReplyDeleteHasn't it been cold. Not that the pets have complained they snuggle in.
