Did You Know?

It was icy chilly here today.  The temperature said it was 8deg in our city, but we are sure it was only about 4 deg C at our place.

When there was a break in the weather mum went outside to feed the birdies as she knew they would be hungry.  She tried a little experiment and put half the bread/seeds/fruit on the lawn and the other half on the concrete.  She was surprised that the birds loved the food on the concrete the most eating it up 2x faster than the food left on the lawn. 

Mum sneaked these pictures of our birdies on the tree at the back of the garden, and all crowded into the television aerial.

Caturday Cool Down

We were surprised to wake up this morning to some bright sunshine.  Mum went with friends to visit the local art show.  There were some fancy paintings, but mum did not find any that she loved.  The prices have crept up too - still it was nice to browse.  Mum had some lunch at a cafe that was new to her and enjoyed her meatball sandwich and pineapple and mint smoothie.

Mid afternoon the skies darkened and the bad weather rolled in bringing rain and wind.  Luckily mum got home to me before she got soaked.  So us girls are having another quiet evening.  Me with my feast and mum with leftovers from last nights dinner.

Welcoming The Weekend

Mum was on call last night, and had to head to work at 2am and made it home 2 hours later.  She got a few hours sleep before heading to work again at midday.  The afternoon went quick and this time she got home before the rain started.

Our winter starts tomorrow, and the weather has promised a nice and chilly start to the new season.  Mum made a nice roast dinner if chicken with roasted vegetables.  Now the scented candles are lit and a movie is playing.  I got a brush and some cuddles and mum has let me have the heater on tonight. 

Best of all - us girls have a 3 day weekend.  Yippee!!!

No Outsiding

There would be no outsiding for me today.  It was super wet and windy.  Mum stepped outside after work and she got pounded by the rain and by the time she got home and was soaked through.  She may have ruined her work shoes.  She should have got a taxi home.

So mum has popped on her dressing gown and slippers and is warming up on the couch and she is letting me nap on her bed.

Sleeper

Mum had a stressful sleep last night.  She tossed and turned until 1.30am aware that she had to be up at 6.30am to get ready for work.  So of course she now is nodding off at 7pm on the couch.  So she is thinking that she will try to have an early night tonight.  At least she had leftovers for her dinner and the kitchen was cleaned last night, so there aren't many more chores to do. 

I had a chicken and shrimp broth sachet for my dinner.  I sucked up all the juice and left the meaty bits.  I did enjoy it, but mum knows not to try it too often as next time she dishes it up for me I am likely to turn my nose up at it.  It doesn't look like I am starving though does it?

Hello

Hello Mum I am glad you got home to see me.  Mum had a day off and went out to meet a bestie for a tasty lunch.  They had a Vietnamese Chicken salad for lunch, then did a little wander to the local shops.  Mum stocked up on her candles and did mostly window shopping.  She was glad to head home before 3pm when the school kids make the traffic super busy.  Time to get home to me and I was pleased to see her.  Us girls then had a good nap - well mum was pretending to read, but her eyes closed super quickly.  She can fall asleep so easy at 5pm, and then will struggle at 10pm.  She thinks that she would make a great cat. 

After weeks of lovely weather the rain has arrived, although it is not too chilly.  Mum made a winter mash for dinner with some chicken rissoles.  Dinner is now made for the next two nights which makes work a bit easier, as she can then come home and relax.  Living by herself it is often easier to make a couple of big meals during the week to last a couple of nights. 

Warm

Our weather has been unseasonably warm and sunny.  The sun has shifted though and we get less sun in our house or backyard, making the nights and mornings feel chilly.   Mum went for a walk to the market today and enjoyed the warm rays.  our fine spell is due to come to an end this week. 

Mum has relaxed this weekend.  she has read her books and so enjoyed not working.

Hello birdies waiting on the fence for mum to feed you or me to eat you.  Luckily for you I am a bit of a slow pensioner now.

Monday

Monday already here.  Mum has had a good day at work.  She came home and there was still some sunshine for a little bit.  She got some tasty things to eat this week and made herself a nice dinner.  It is a big night. She is going to put the laptop away and the phone down and watch the Game of Thrones final.  She's excited to see what happens. 

Me - I had a quiet day as usual.  A little bit of outsiding and a little sleeping.  Then a meet and greet when mum gets home.

Sunday Shopping While Mum Was At Work

These socks - you can get your beautiful face put on them.  These make mum laugh.  She could wear them at work and have a nice reminder of my face.

This picture is very sweet and the painter is very talented.  What a nice reminder of your sweetie to look at on the wall every day.

A nice cushion of your lovie means you can go everywhere together.  Travel to London, take a cruise no problem, you can be in all of your persons photos.  And take a nap together.

Speaking of naps, think of how well your person will sleep under a nice fleecy blankie custom made with photos of you on it.  A purrfect present if we say so!!

Caturday

Mum had a work day again today.  There is something hard about getting up at 5am while the rest of the city slumbers.  Still she is finished by 3pm and has time to chill out with me.

The young ones at work asked what mum is up to tonight.  Mum laughed.  After a long work day her Caturday night is chill.  Dinner, a shower, some Tele then off to bed.  Much like my night.  My dinner and bathing are all done by 6pm!!

Now mum is to put the phone down and watch some Game of Thrones.

Friday Movie

Mum went to the movies today to see All Is True, a movie about William Shakespeare and his life at home with his family.  She enjoyed it very much, a good 4/5 although she and the other 12 patrons were annoyed by the one lady at the cinema who sat in the front row noisily eating lollies from a crinkly packet the whole way through and who was especially annoying at the sad and quiet scenes. 

So she spent this night catching up on some Game of Thrones and and some Big Bang Theory final shows.  So she let me watch some youtube cats.  We had not seen this clever cat before.  How lucky is he to have his own restaurant?    We hope you have had a fun Friday night too.

Thursday

Today was fine and mum enjoyed a sunny walk go work.  It was a bit of a long day but went fast as mum was busy.  Coming home the clouds were low and heavy looking, and luckily the rain only started as mum reached our door.

My day was busy.  There was snoozing and the odd bit of sniffing round and checking out introoder smells.  I really wanted mum to chat to me tonight, so we sat and she talked before she washed the dinner dishes.  Do you like to have a catch up with your person too?

The Look Of Love

Mum made the bed on Caturday and forgot to put my bag/bed back on top.  So I came and looked for her and meowed until she fixed it.  She would love a nice tidy clear bed, but she realises that my love is strong.
