The Caturday Return of Poppy Q

Hello Blogging Friends we sure missed you.  We are back after our little holiday, the mumster to lakeland and me to the cat hotel

After the Chromegate of October, mum seriously considered tossing in the blogging towel.  We don't want blogging to be a chore, and like so many of our blogging friends we were wondering if we had run out of things to say.   However, we did miss so many of our friends that we are going to carry on at this stage, we know that we enjoy visiting with our friends around the country and overseas and seeing what everybuddy has been up to.

So I got a good report from the cat hotel, they give mum a little report card from my stay there.  It says that I enjoyed sitting out in the garden and loved getting pats and chin scritches.  The pooh inspector said that I had runny poohs and a bit of blood a couple of days (mum says that she is glad she does not have that job), and so I got some special foods, but felt better after my tummy settled.

I have been a little limpet and followed mum around for the first couple of days of being home, but things are settling back to normal now as we both get back into our routines.

So kisses to everybuddy and we look forward to catching up.

  2. Welcome back to you both, Poppy, it's nice to see a post again!

Our human is just starting to post for us again, after not wanting to for so long. It does help to take breaks! :-)

  3. Welcome back you two! So glad you will stay blogging! I stopped in 2010 so who am I to talk--but think about restarting or maybe starting a facebook page devoted to just my kitties. Do NewZealanders celebrate Halloween? If so, hope you had a good one 🎃👻🐾

  6. Welcome back PoppyQ, we missed you and your mum. But understand you need a break.
We just report on what happens, doesn't have to be earth shattering, plus keeping up with all the gang.

  9. Welcome home, Poppy Dear! It sure seemed longer than 2 weeks without you, so glad you are back.

Oh, please keep on blogging, this is such a cozy and homey place to visit, reading about what you and Mum are doing. It's very comforting, and we would miss you dreadfully if you go away.

  11. I am glad to see you back Poppy. Mum says she knows what your mum means. We used to blog every day, but after Eric mum lost her enthusiasm for it and thought about stopping. It was the thought of the many friends we have made over the years that kept her going, but she cut back to about 4 times a week. She has cut back again to 2 or 3 times a week now because it takes up so much time and she runs out of ideas and photos, but hasn't got any intention of cutting back further

  13. Poppy, dear, it's so good to see you back and in fine form! I hope your mum enjoyed her holiday away, knowing you were in such good hands. (A pooh inspector is the sort of person one encounters only at the best cat hotels, dear.)

Please tell your mum we working women who struggle with budgets, shifts, diets and other mundane matters visit your blog to share the good moments of life with her: a day of rest, a walk, a new recipe that works, and cuddles with cats. Blessings from the American Midwest on an icy evening.

  17. It's good to see you back, Poppy, and I'll bet you're glad your mum is back.

I wouldn't worry about things to write about in your blog. Many - certainly myself - write about very ordinary things, but you'd be surprised at how many people like reading about the ordinary things in your life. But do it only if it's enjoyable for you: no pressure, all fun.
