  1. Poppy, dear, this is a superb example of photojournalism! I once participated in a children's museum/community outreach project attended by all sorts of people with big ideas about what equipment kids needed to study science topics. We experienced a moment of clarity when a TV meteorologist quietly said: "The skies are free..."

  2. That's beautiful! I've seen the northern lights sometimes (despite what people think, much of Canada is too far south to see them often) but not like that; not as clear as that and not as bright and colourful.

  5. Wowza! Such beautiful lights in the sky. Mom had been reading about the colored light phenomenon appearing in some parts of the World. Guess most of the US is too far south to experience it, but you guys in NZ sure get to see an amazing sight. Enjoy it while it lasts.

  7. Wow, that is really cool! Here in L.A., we don't get any cool lights... just city lights.

  8. What a beautiful photo! You are so luckily to see the Southern lights. Apparently the Northern lights are visible in the skies in Canada over these next few days but it is hard to see anything in Toronto with all the light pollution. Meow from Jessica

  9. WOWZA! You got the Southern Lights. We can't see the Northern Lights, too far south and too much other light.
