Tasty

Mum fed me some new feast last night.  Actually it was old feast, it had sat on the  shelf for months, a special breakfast feast.  When she first fed it to me, I just licked all the sauce off at 6pm.  At 8pm I went back for a little nibble.  About 10pm I popped in and ate half of it and then at 8am this morning, mum noticed that it was all gone.  So I guess I like it, but maybe not in my top ten.

  4. Poppy, dear, I did get a "combo box" of the Feast to pique my ancient tuxedo's appetite. Like you, she sampled the sauce, then nibbled the meaty bits, and finally finished it off as a side-dish to a bowl of kibble. Now I put the breakfast feast as a little topping for her morning kibble. (She eats very small portions.)

  5. That's how it is with a couple of my beasts, Poppy. They will nibble something at first, then return later. Maybe it tastes better a little stale. I ope your Christmas is going well.

  6. You are better than me Poppy. My mum knows that if I just lick a bit of gravy, I won't eat any more.

  7. Poppy, careful when sniffing & getting scritches from those twigs (isn't "twig" a fabulous human word). Last time I tried to scritch an itch on my nose, I ended up with a big scratch on my snozolla. We are the same as you when it comes to bein' picky about what flavors & textures of the Feast we will chow down on. We like a variety of flavors although chick-hen is our fave & we will only eat the Classic Minced texture, so we guess we are a bit fussy. Next time the foods not great, just walk away from the bowl. Refusing to eat can put your Human into panic mode. Humans usually start opening can after can (even people tuna if they get desperate) until they find a flavor we will happily scarff down. Nothing makes a Human more happy than to seeing their cat lovin' their food & lickin' the bowl clean.

  10. I never eat my gooshy foods all at once. It can take me a couple of hours to finish off my foods.

  11. Mum thinks that there is probably a great fluctuation in flavour between batches of food. Sometimes a flavour is good and sometimes not so much. Maybe the older can is tastier than the current batch of your desired feast.
