Looks like you can get some good scratching there, Poppy. Eric and Flynn always headed for the big old oak tree in the fields for their favourite scratching place.
Poppy, dear, that looks like a splendid bit of wood for filing the claws in one's paws! My toms have made quite a ritual of selecting wood from the firewood stack. They, too, prefer a piece big enough to stand upon.
I hate it when mine scratch the ‘carpeting’ off the cat-trees and get at the wood underneath; I’m afraid they will get splinters. Please be careful, Poppy.
Nothin' like some good wood for scratching. My grandparents brought a small log in for our cats while we were visiting. They loved the wood scratcher--until someone discovered it had termites--yikes!
That is really serious work Poppy!x

ReplyDeleteAs long as you don't get yelled at for using the bench, go for it.
