Welcoming The Weekend

Mum was on call last night, and had to head to work at 2am and made it home 2 hours later.  She got a few hours sleep before heading to work again at midday.  The afternoon went quick and this time she got home before the rain started.

Our winter starts tomorrow, and the weather has promised a nice and chilly start to the new season.  Mum made a nice roast dinner if chicken with roasted vegetables.  Now the scented candles are lit and a movie is playing.  I got a brush and some cuddles and mum has let me have the heater on tonight.

Best of all - us girls have a 3 day weekend.  Yippee!!!

  2. Yum, yum ! If mum decides to stop being a nurse she write cook books. Her photos are more tempting than any Martha Stewart does. What a shame you can’t partake Poppy.
It’s midnight and we are having the worst thunder storm I can ever recall. Right overhead and quite frightening. We had all our hedges cut yesterday. Just in time. Have ordered some new roses so hope this weather has improved when they arrive.
You two have a great weekend reading, sleeping , snuggleing and eating yummy meals.

  3. Your mum's dinner looks so yummy!

Well, we're still waiting for real spring weather! It's the coolest spring we've had in who knows how many years. We're only reaching low to mid-teen temps for the most part, with only a few days reaching high teens. Good for saving money on air conditioning, though!

We hope you two have a lovely, cosy weekend.

  4. I'm surprised that someone who is on call is expected to work a regular shift later that day. I wouldn't think it would be either efficient or healthy. But I'm glad you two have a long weekend to look forward to.
