Happy New Years Eve

I intend to be snoozing as the clock strikes midnight and we say goodbye to 2020 - the strangest of years.  Mum had a long day at work.  She went to bed last night, and was not long asleep when we were both awakened by a jolt of an earthquake.   Then the alarm went off at 5am mum did not feel rested and had an upset tummy for most of the day.   She managed work ok, but was glad to get home.  She felt better with a cold drink sitting in the sun reading her book.

So it has been a quiet night for us both.  The neighborhood is quiet which is nice with no loud parties close by.  All the young people have headed off to the beaches and festivals.   There should be some noise from the fireworks in the city, but they never last too long.  Mum expects to be snoozing a few minutes past midnight too.

of a turn around..we've just had another
    vaccine released, much quicker, safer,
and travel better..though more of the

  2. Good idea Poppy to get a snooze for there is any kind of midnight fireworks. I'm hoping for a quiet night because Precious cannot stand the sound of fireworks or thunder. Hope your mum feels a lot better by now and gets plenty of rest. Let's drink to a New year with better life ahead.

  5. Happy New Year Poppy and mum! There shouldn't be any parties here as the whole of England is now in tiers 3 and 4. Too many people not doing what they are supposed to do and we are back where we were earlier in the year, and it will get worse.

  7. Geez, an eathquake to say goodbye to a crappy year. That's fitting. I hope there was no damage done to your city.
