Dahlia

Mum found this beautiful purple dahlia on the way home this afternoon.   She saw an article on the news at the weekend of some trials they are doing that suggest some supplement made of dahlia extract may be able to reverse diabetes.

It's 8.30pm and dark outside and getting cooler.  The seasons are changing, which is good news for our northern hemisphere friends.  We're going to miss the sunshine.  Mum loves sandal weather and is thinking it may be time to pull the slippers out.

  2. We've been lucky enough to have Sunshine 5 days in a row. You don't know what a relief that is. Our days are getting a little longer but our warm-up is very slow. So I hope your summer slows down. Or I guess rather your fall.

  3. Such a lovely dahlia, they're such gorgeous, showy flowers.

Our clocks go ahead an hour this coming Saturday night, so it will be lighter in the evenings. It's been bitterly cold for the past few days, but the next few look almost spring-like, before winter sets back in.

Take care and have a good week!

  4. It is 10 AM and coo; here today, 68 degrees and I am not looking forward to sweaty, humid 90 plus weather at all. Your bloom is beautiful and I wish you and Mum a cozy night.
