Wiped Out

Well its the day after her 2nd Pfizer vaccination and mum is wiped out.  The day was sunny and hot for autumn, so mum filled the washing line with towels and her uniforms.  She took herself out for a walk and after 1.5 hours she had to admit defeat and call a taxi to bring her home.  She just feels like she has a bad flu but no sneezing or coughs, just achy with a bit of a headache.   I'm going to be a good nurse and snuggle up next to her.

  4. Please Poppy no howling. Poor mum so brave. Of course she needed the vaccinations. It just worries me that the way the virus keeps changing. I do hope Jacinda keeps our borders closed. Poor India , it’s tragic. They are running out of oxygen. I am old and very ill so it doesn’t affect me. I am so sad for every young person who hasn’t been able to live a great life like I did. Dear PoppyQ you are so lucky you have had such a lovely life and don’t know what is happening. Ignorance is bliss. My love and heart go out to you both. Feel better soon mum. 🌈

  6. You're such a good nurse, Poppy. We hope your mum recovers quickly. Her immune system kicked in quickly to fight the new "invaders," so that's a good thing!

  7. An hour and a half of walking after the shot? Mum thinks that is really good. Tell her to rest, stay hydrated and eat good foods. Lots of rest.
