I had to go and see my vet Dr Eve today to see how my eyes were going and to get another prescription for eye ointment. She was pleased with my eyes, and thinks they are settling down.
Not so pleased with my chub. Apparently I have now reached the golden weight - 6kgs (since I am six years old it is easy to remember). Mum got told that we have to do better.
Mum is feeling the chub too, so she is going to try and be better with me. Wish us luck!!

Oh, Poppy, you're beautiful, not a chubster. :-)
ReplyDeleteThough our human has now taken to calling me "Mr. Waddles" for some reason.

ReplyDeleteWe are glad your eyes are doing better Poppy. We don't think you are a chubster, you look cuddly to us.
ReplyDeleteWe are all feeling it, sweetie. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWe think it is good to tackle one health issue at a time, Poppy. Eyes first, THEN weight. And to us you look just fine.
ReplyDeleteWe agree wholeheartedly with Simba. We think you should have time for your eyes to heal before getting you stressed about your weight. We think you look perfectly lovely.
ReplyDeleteVets are always going on about weight, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteSasha says, Oh Poppy, that's such good news about your beautiful eyes!
ReplyDeleteSami says what's a girl to do? Those noms are so nummy!
Saku (the evil little brofur) says, maybe mom should get you a little brofur or sisfur to chase around! MOL

ReplyDeleteThe human likes her furbabies a little on the chubby side. She wishes Sissy was more so.
I'm glad to read about the eyes, Poppy Q. As for your weight... What's beyond golden? Because three of my four cats are heavier than six kilograms, unfortunately. They feel like lead, so that must be the next stage...

(whose vet is saying the same thing)
Sorry you have to watch your weight.
ReplyDeletesilly veterinarian! 5-7 kgs and more for a really big male brit is normal, to think a brit *should* weigh the same as a siamese and such, is like comparing a yorkshire terrier with a german shepard. ridiculous. if your mummy can feel your ribs slightly when caressing your sides = you weigh okey.
