Sleep Walk

Last night mum did oncall again, as one of her colleagues was sick.  I followed her again down the road, she really doesn't want me to go so far, but I'm a cat, so I'm going to do what I want.  So today, I'm a bit tired and have snoozed the day away.  Mum got to bed at 4.30am, but at 6am thought the phone had gone off again, and got up and stood by the clock looking at the time.  Mum thinks that she had a little sleep walk, as she wasn't really awake - that freaked her out a bit.  She went back to bed, if she did sleep through a phone call, the doctor would call again.

Mum had the morning to sleep in, and the afternoon to potter round.  She has watered the garden, as all watering is banned from 9am on Saturday morning.  Rain is forecast though, so we have our fingers crossed.

Have a good weekend everybuddy.

  1. The nice thing about being up late is sleeping in :)
Maybe you and your Mom can get some snooze time together :)
    Purrs Tillie and Georgia,
    Treasure,Tiger,JJ and Julie

  2. Paws crossed that you get some rain, Poppy!

  3. One of my brothers use to sleep walk when he was little. It was a little bit weird, herding him back to bed.

I will pray for rain since you need it so badly. I wish you both a purrfectly YAYful day!

  4. Sometimes our mum thinks she hears the phone but when she does a 1471 in the morning no-one has called. She must dream it in her sleep. We hope you get your much needed rain. We have heavy rain on the way again. We wish we could send you some.

  5. It is tough to get good sleep when one has to listen for the phone from the hospital. Our human sister sometimes has to do night shifts like that. Horrid.

  6. poppy Q..ewe N chez Q iz loooooooookin good :)

N tell yur mumz place oh employ ta stop callin her at all hours oh de day...if her canna sleep rite...her iz gonna make a trooly BIG MEGA GIANT miss take N feed ewe BURD...

  7. Mum laughed at that because her on call phone has a distinctive tone and she might be in town or out and about and hears the same tone ad starts looking for her phone even when not on call.. Mum says to explain to your mum that it is a long appointment at the vet when I have to have my blood pressure done as well as bloods because the pressure test is the one that takes time.. Hugs GJ xx

  8. Looking beautiful as always, Poppy!...We hope you guys get rain!..Happy weekend, precious friend!...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki.

  9. Mum used to hate that dream walking. Dreaming the alarm went off and then getting up and getting read for work. She did that once at 2 AM and she didn't need to be up until 6 AM.

  10. We know you are a smart kitty but we worry about you going so far.

  11. Your poor mum! On call shift work and fatigue can cause one to get a bit discombobulated.
Take care when you are outside. Do stay close to the house, please. We love you lots, dear.
