Frustration

Now mum realises that she is middle aged, and technology is not her friend.  She has been frustrated that the ipod she has had for four years is now not getting recognised by her computer, and that she has to now reload everything to get it to work - grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  It doesn't help that she dropped it in my fancy feast a couple of years ago and it doesn't turn off and on.  It still usually works though, so mum is too tight to replace it.  First world problems.

A nice little sleep in today was nice as mum heads to work for the afternoon.  Time for a couple of chores and fast forwarding through a couple of tv shows to get the DVR cleared - bliss.

  1. Keep your mum young, her brain needs to learn the new stuff.

  2. Well, it sounds like your Mum can work that DVR thing with that fast forwarding, Poppy. Maybe there is technology hope for her yet? :)

  5. Your Mum sounds a lot like MY Mum. We need a new cell phone but Mum freaks out just THINKING about going phone shopping. Don't worry though, just give your Mum extra snuggles and she'll be OK.

  6. Your human dropped her iPod in your food, Poppy! Ick, I hope it didn't make it taste weird. My human wants to thank you for the post and kind words about Sparkle - she is amazed that so many blogging kitties posted about her, and she is so grateful.

  7. Hahaha @ dropping it in your FF. Not exactly what you'd want to eat, Poppy. :-)

Our human doesn't have a iAnything and wouldn't know how to use any of the devices anyway. She struggles with her generic MP3 player and only uses it to listen to radio stations. LOL.

  8. Poppy, dear, it's very, very difficult for middle-aged female humans to adopt a new cell phone. She may find it helpful to simply say: "I'm thinking about updating my cell phone...?" at the hairdresser's or in the vet's lobby -- and then listen to what the other ladies report.

  9. Tell your mum that technology is no one's friend. Youngsters are too dumb to realise that it is merely mocking them when they think they know how to use it.

  11. Love techknowlegy. But I don't like the built in obsolete factor. They do that on purpose so we have to upgrade and spend all the time. You can only fight it for so long then then you have to upgrade. Very frustrating.

  12. Drooped her IPod in your Fancy Feast. Oh that is funny! My mum is hopeless with her various electronic gadgets. Meow, Jessica

    Enjoy your snuggles with mum!
