  5. Hi Poppy!
Am a longtime lurker, though have never commented. I've 3 cats, one of whom is an adorable cream British Shorthair, an absolute clown. Have to commend your hardworking mum on her admirable work ethic, not to mention her dedication to posting daily. Happiest 2019 to you both, with many more relaxing, meaningful moments right around the corner

  6. Happy New Year to both of you. May you have the best year ever 2019.
I was lucky to be born on a New Years Eve and spent a lot of time thinking about all the places I was for many of my birthday party’s.
When I was 7 my parents did the catering at a wonderful place. It was the Maori girls college near Wanganui. Can’t find it on the net but it was a huge brick building set in rolling countryside. They were holding classes for special courses and they had a Ball on my birthday. I was called up on the stage for a birthday presentation.
My 15th birthday was a dinner on the U S Brough an American ship heading for Antarctic. The Capt was a friend and I was the only female in the officers mess.
My 17th was staying in a tent with my girlfriend in Queenstown. We arrived in pitch dark, assembled our tent and woke up in the morning to find we were on the grass verge of the Main Street ! That was a shock.
My 18th was in Te Anau. Where I was hosting a bus load of tourists and I was asked to a party by a very handsome young man
My 19th in a hotel with my fiancé and his parents again in Queenstown.
My 20th at home with my husband with terrible morning sickness.
Last night not much better than that.
Oh for youth but the memories are wonderful.
Do keep blogging it is a real treat thanks mum q and poppy q. Xxxxxxx🌈. 🌟. 🍅🎂

  7. Happy New Year Poppy and mum! Just about 7:15 pm New Years Eve night. Rainy and chilly here in the Washington DC area. Spending the night home watching a Twilight Zone marathon with my two kitties, Oliver and my new cat, Clementine. Clementine just appeared on my front porch a few weeks after I had to put my Sweet Pea down in September. She’s very sweet and has adjusted to indoor living easily. I think she’s just a few years old.
