Grey Girl


Mum is drawn to the grey she must say, as you may have noticed.  It is a great neutral and mum is hopeless with white things.  Her besties have white couches, and mum is nervous about sitting on them and leaving some dirty smears.  Because this is the 3rd house we have lived in together it is always good to have simple neutral furniture that can fit into any house.

She is thinking about some new cushions this year to brighten the couch up for the summer.  A cheap and simple way to make our pad look flash!!

    Poppy, I have the same problem that I think you do - we blend into our backgrounds! My human loves wood floors and real wood furniture... and of course, my fur color is similar! And here you are, surrounded by the same color as your fur too. I do think your human needs some colorful accents to set off your pretty fur. Oh, and maybe some of the gray furnishings too.

    Well, l have a flowery cover three seater, and a white two seater
    settees in the front room..Though the two seater has a very large
    'throw' over it. I've been in my home for 37yrs. And had...mmmM!
    Seven pussy~cats....! I never mind hairs etc...The vacuum cleaner
    always clears up!

    And! Yes! Tell Mum Poppy!x Nice bright..loud cushions would look
    nice on a grey background!

    Our sofa is charcoal gray. My furs don't show up on it, and neither does much else. The other chairs are sage green, plum and red. My Mom would never have a white sofa either!

    I like grey because I can't match things very well, but some colourful cushions would be attractive on your grey couch, Poppy.

    Our mum is also drawn to grey, but only in cats and her car. She's into the earthy colors for inside our condo. Boring!

    Grey is a marvellous colour. It can be as sophisticated or as down to earth as one wishes. They're showing so many lovely colours this year that would look wonderful with grey. We're so terribly hard on cushions that Mum buys zippered covers for our inserts. Less expensive that way.

    The grey matches you Poppy. Some cheerfully patterned cushions would be a lovely touch. Your mum could change the cushion covers with seasonable colours. From Jessica

    Grey goes with everything! If mom doesn't want to go the cushion route, maybe even some flashy pillows would work
