Today was a pleasant Caturday day. The weather, unseasonably mild for this time of year, enough that if you were out in the sun, you would be compelled to roll around on the ground, or paving stones just like me and to soak up the rays. Mum still felt a bit peaky and so she stayed in bed hours longer than she usually would, but still got up and showered and dressed herself. Somehow she managed to drag a couple of loads out into the washing machine and out on the line, although even though they were out by midday, they did not get enough time to dry as the autumn sun slips away much earlier now.
So us girls moped about at home. It was lovely though, mum just had some toast and soup. I ate some juicy feast with lots of gravy - meaning I sucked all the gravy away and left the meat bits for the flies. I groaned at mum til she moved over and off my bathmat so that I could get some shut eye - relegating her to sitting on her bed and completing her secretarial duties for the day.
She spoke with family tonight, and then rung her good friends who have an exciting trip planned. Tomorrow they fly to Japan, then onto Europe for a 6 week jaunt across the continent - their plans sound awesome and we can't wait to see their photos.
Hope you all had a fun Caturday and are enjoying your weekend.
