Toesie Thursday

Mum and i got to spend the day together today as she got called in overnight.  Her first job got her home at 3am, so when the phone went again at 04:45am she fell asleep for a few minutes.  When she got up and went to work, she worried that she had actually dreamed the phone call.  Luckily when she got to work, the doctor was there and there was a patient to be seen to.  That job finished around 6:15 am, so she slept a bit of the morning and then again later in the afternoon.

Luckily there was a lot of dinner made last night so she just had leftovers for her dinner, and I was easy just having a feast.  We have snuggled this evening, and mum has no call tonight, although she is working at the weekend and on call again.  She has figured out that in this fortnight she is working about 90 hours at work and over 110 hours on call, so she is pacing herself.  Next week will be easier.

  1. Hang on Poppy!x I will have to 'paws' and
    read this again...!x HeHe!

90~100 hours, goodness that's a lot of hours!
Still, next week sounds a lot better, if Mum
can pace her self out a bit! And, snuggling
up with you must be the best bit!

  2. Poppy, dear, during tough times like these we middle-aged ladies remind ourselves that it's usually easier to work hard than to look hard for work.

  3. Kudos to your mum for having the stamina to work these long shifts and to be on-call! We hope she makes it through the long hours ahead and gets some down time next week.

P.S. Beth put it very well!

  4. Whew! that's a lot of work to pack in. I hope next week will indeed be easier.

I've had instances when I thought I couldn't determine whether or not I'd dreamed something. That can be confusing.

  5. Your human's schedule is a killer - it's a good thing you had some alone time with her, Poppy!

  6. poppy Q....we hope mumz gettin paid over time... coz if sew, herz got one #ellava pay chex comin !! ♥♥♥

  7. That's a lot of hours! Hope she gets plenty of rest in between calls.

  8. That is a lot of hours. I hope your mum gets plenty of time to rest at the end of it.

  9. Wow. That's a lot of hours. Poor mum. Get rest whenever you can xx
