Reading

Mum used to write in her other blog about the movies she went to and the books she read, but Covid made her take a break.  Her book reading has slowed down a bit.  She finished this book this morning and she gave it a 5/5.  She could not wait to sit down to read it each night.

Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell is the story about the son of William Shakespeare and his young life.  Focused mainly on his story and the story of his mother Agnes, his famous father is mostly absent.  There are some beautiful and tragically sad scenes in this book, and it has been some time since mum has enjoyed a book so much.

  6. I always followed what your mum read and saw on the other blog. I've been checking for a while but nothing new was added. I'm glad to know that she is still reading, even if at a slower pace.
