Thursday

I'm taking the time to enjoy the outdoors while the weather is settled.   We're only four weeks away from our winter solstice and the shortest day and our days will get longer.  As you can see the back lawn is green and lush.

Mum is tired.  A busy shift and now on call overnight until 7am and then an early shift tomorrow.   Time to relax tonight though for an hour.  A couple of treats on the couch before she heads to bed to read for a while and we get our last snuggle on.

  5. Hi Poppy, nice to see you enjoying the sun. Down here our mornings are freezing. It warms up during the day but today is going to be cloud, a bit of rain in the afternoon. That means the mice are starting to come inside. My cook showed me the first signs. Some potatoes had , had some nibbles on them. Ugh. I think I need to borrow you. Last year my builder checked the whole house and couldn’t see how they get in and I have screen doors. We are surrounded by fields so I guess they are small. Never got them when we had a cat. Today the Pest control man is coming to replace the boxes which have bait in them. Very effective. Makes them crave water and go outside looking before they die. Glad I’m not in Australia. The films on the news gave me horrors. Hope mum had no fallouts. I don’t know how she manages working such hours. Give her lots of snuggles Poppy. 🥰 🐭🐭🐭🐭🐭

  6. Your grass seems to stay green longer in your autumn than ours does in ours...
