TGIF

TGIF - thank goodness mum says,  Today she had to count down the hours to get through the day.  Still, she is home now and her butt is relaxing on the couch.  The washing is out and drying, and the dinner was cooked and served and dishes are draining on the rack.  I have been fed, patted and combed - spring has made me shed like crazy.

Mum talked to a bestie tonight.  The girls were discussing bedtimes.  They had talked the week before about being determined to head to bed at a more set hour.  Mum was trying for 11pm.  She wasn't very successful ending up with having a nap most nights.  So tonight she has avoided the nap after she gets home from work, keeping herself busy and will try to head to bed soonish.  The weekend nights she has decided midnight is more reasonable for her.

Me - well I would be terrible if I got any less than 23 hours of beauty sleep.  A girl need to keep looking good and needs  her beauty sleep.

Hope you are all ready for the weekend and have some fun things planned.

  1. Poppy, dear, your mum is indeed improving her chances for a really restful sleep by establishing a routine. It worked for me. And my feline housemates agree with you about the necessity of 23 hours rest -- although the youngest tom gets by on 20.

  3. I agree about getting enough beauty rest! My human is up until all hours (often working for me!), but then she doesn't have to get up early either.

  4. No kitty should get less than 23 hours of beauty sleep!

Jenna thinks I should be in bed between 10 and 11. She reminds me if I'm not following the usual time routine :)

  5. My mum has been trying to get to bed earlier too. She usually goes about 1.30 - 2 am but is trying to be in bed by midnight. Trouble is she wakes up halfway through the night now.

  7. Mum aims for between 10 to 10:30. That gives her 8 hours in bed, if not 8 hours of sleep. She does OK, and rarely naps, except on a weekend.

  12. Sometimes a nap is so nice. But yes it does tend to muck up the body clock. But I think whatever helps you get through is good Your beauty sleep is working wonderfully. Your so very beautiful poppy xxx
