Today was another lovely day in the city. Mum had the day off so us girls relaxed in bed until mum had to jump up and put the rubbish out. She had lunch and got herself dressed - short pants, a t-shirt and sandals are fine now, as the weather has warned up to a mild 20 deg C. She went and got herself a few little treats, a necklace that was on sale and a couple of new dishcloths and sponges for the kitchen sink.
The library needed to be visited and then mum made a simple supper. Bacon and strawberries on toast. Mum got her new modem too. She almost needed a degree to read the instructions, but she managed to get it working. Yippee she may be able to watch a movie at the weekend.
Mum also stopped on the way home to take photos of some flowers she found growing in the streets around us. So pretty.
Lovely flowers Poppy!x We had lovely flowers on
ReplyDeleteTues, and an especially lovely flower, yesterday! :).
Yes! Glorious!
Those are pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely day you both had. Can't decide if the roses are iceberg or Margaret Merrill. I have both and our mission is to keep watering after sundown. An hour on each plot. It is so dry here it is quite a business. What was mums necklace like ? She must have looked cute in her summer outfit. I think we are heading into a really hot summer. Xxx
ReplyDeletePoppy, dear, I admire your mum's ability to activate a modem by reading the instructions!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good day with warmth, sunshine and flowers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day, it sounds like. I'm glad the weather played along. And the flowers look so clean and fresh. Spring is heading toward summer quite nicely there, eh?
ReplyDeleteSo glad there was a nice day for you and your mum. Our mum’s microwave oven died. Not that old but out of warranty.
