This how mum left me this afternoon. She is on shift again, but will be home later. She has sensed a shift in me - a slowing down , needing lots more sleep than a few years ago. Being middle aged herself she understands. She could happily curl up with a book on the bed too.

Ya look real comfy there.
ReplyDeleteYou do look pretty comfy, Poppy. Gracie has slowed down a lot, too, so we understand. Hugs to you and Mum.
ReplyDeleteAh! Bless! You look lovely! Lovely! Poppy!x
ReplyDeleteI'll pop off now...Don't want to wake you...! :).
Poppy your blog made me cry. You are in the prime of your life just as mum is. We all pass the stage of the energy of children but how lovely to just lie back in the sun and do nothing and mum still working so hard should ease up on the cleaning and walking and just lie back in the sun and snooze or read a book when she can. We love you both xxx
ReplyDeleteThe difference is, cats curl up ON the book, not just with it!
ReplyDeleteWe all slow down sooner or later, Poppy. You do look very comfy there though.
ReplyDeleteThis happens to us all, Poppy. But it just means we need more time for the important things - like sleep.
ReplyDeletePoppy, you look so sweet, sleeping there. We hope your dreams are good ones.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we all sleep more as we age. Mum does the same.
ReplyDeleteAt season’s change we all seem to sleep more too.
ReplyDeleteLove your photo, Poppy. Mum has always wished she could feel the beautiful furs on your lovely head.
I think everyone who loves you Poppy should look up the blog 07 11 07 this was just like a baby and would make anyone want to love you to bits.
